Breaking generational curses can be a challenging and difficult process. However, one woman was able to do this by becoming the first member of her family to graduate from college. Unfortunately, despite this significant achievement, she was met with a lack of recognition and support from her family.
Twitter user @nauticakjm shared her experience of feeling isolated and hurt after not receiving any congratulations from her family upon graduating from college. She had hoped that she was making her family proud, but instead, they seemed to not care about her accomplishment.
While this woman’s experience may be disheartening, it is important to recognize that she is not alone in this situation. Many people who are the first in their families to achieve something may be met with either celebration or resentment. In this woman’s case, it seems that her family did not fully understand or appreciate the significance of her achievement.
Fortunately, she received support and encouragement from strangers who shared similar experiences, letting her know that the problem did not lie with her. While it may be difficult to break generational curses, it is important to remember that it is possible to overcome them with hard work and determination.
