This was due to non-availability of funds due to the lockdown, but it is a decision they are planning to overturn.

Now, the 14-year-old’s guardian angel seems to be working overtime as former referee and PSL general manager, Andile “Ace” Ncobo, has come to her rescue.

Ace believes that Senzo’s child should not be reminded of his absence by facing hunger so he will commit to sending her R1 500 until she turns 21.

Speaking to DailySun, Ace said, “Senzo embodied the full spirit of football and was an agent for social cohesion. It’s in the memory of that spirit that his child should never be reminded of his absence by hunger pangs.”

Namhla’s grandmother Ntombifuthi confirmed to the publication that they received the money.
