Senzo Meyiwa’s daughter remembers her late father who died in the same manner as AKAFormer Orlando Pirates number one goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa who played a pivotal role in helping the club reach their second CAF Champions League final in 2013 was shot and killed in a suspected hit on 26 October 2014 at the home of his celebrity girlfriend Kelly Khumalo in Vosloorus.

 

 

 

Senzo Meyiwa’s second born daughter Ayabonga Meyiwa has now recalled her father’s death almost two weeks after the passing of renowned South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes who was professionally known as AKA.

The late 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘦 hitmaker who was scheduled to perform at Yugi Nightclub in Durban as part of his birthday celebrations was shot and killed outside a restaurant on Florida Road along with his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane where they were pronounced dead at the scene.

On Thursday, Senzo Meyiwa’s daughter Ayabonga Meyiwa whom he shares with his widow Mandisa Mkhize who previously worked as an HR officer at Nedbank took to her Instagram stories where she shared a photo depicting AKA with angel wings and his daughter Kairo Forbes whom he fathered with his ex-girlfriend Ntombezinhle Jiyane who is better known as DJ Zinhle.

As part of her caption, “Nana” as she is affectionately known as took to the popular platform where she wrote, “Losing a father is something else”.
