The defence lawyer advocate Zandile Mshololo asked Tumelo about a statement that deposed by Mlungisi Hlophe, who is believed to be Senzo’s brother-in-law, I his affividit, he claimed that Tumelo confessed to him that Senzo was shot after intervening to stop a fight between Zandi Khumalo and his then boyfriend Longwe Twala.

However, Tumelo denied the claims and said what Mlungisi said were lies. He said it was the first time he had heard of the statement.

Longwe and Zandi were in a relationship back then. Longwe has been accused of killing Senzo, together with Senzo’s back then girlfriend and baby mama Kelly Khumalo, who former defence advocate Teffo Malesela accused of killing her baby daddy.

Malesela claim that Kelly mistakenly killed Senzo using a revolver that belonged to Longwe.
