Zandie Gumede has stated that she will be speaking with the police on the possibility of testifying in the next trial of Senzo Meyiwa, which is scheduled to resume on November 14.

 

 

 

She revealed the news on Wednesday via Instagram that police had called her to discuss the murder of Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa and the possibility of her being the next witness to testify in the trial. Meyiwa was the goalkeeper for Bafana Bafana.

She added that her strength comes from her marriage to Mhlonishwa Gumede, and she regarded him as being her source.

“The greatest father in the world, the one who makes things happen but doesn’t mind playing the ‘behind the scenes’ role at any time. My “Mr. Calm,” the one who tells me “Don’t worry baby,” and “everything will work out.”

I addressed him as “Brigadier so and so called” the day before yesterday. They want to talk to me about the SM case when they come to my house on Thursday, and they want to consult with me because they want me to testify about it. After he uttered “Abeze phela” in a collected manner, I immediately felt at ease. My sincere gratitude goes out to you, Myeni Wami; you are truly my inspiration and motivation.

Zandie Khumalo broke her silence in an exclusive interview with eNCA in the month of July, after her sister Kelly Khumalo had previously done a tell-all interview with the station earlier in the same month.

“On the way to the hospital, it was I who sat in the back of the car with Senzo and applied pressure to the wound. Even as we were driving to the hospital, I could tell that he was getting chilled from the bottom up… She continued her story by saying, “I was busy talking to him the whole way, trying to keep him alive but tragically…”
