The on-going Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is getting more and more interesting with each day passing, the court proceedings are on-going and the cross examination of the third witness started as the representative of the four accused advocate Tshepo Thobane taking on the state witness Tumelo Madlala, he put it to the witness that Meyiwa had a life cover of which Kelly Khumalo was a beneficiary.

 

 

 
As he cross examined the witness, accused number one to four revealed that there is a witness who is going to come and testify that the deceased had a life cover policy that Kelly was a sole beneficiary on, he also told the court that Senzo was cheating on Kelly with her sister Zandie who had her own bedroom at their apartment in Mulbarton, he alleged that Meyiwa was not happy in that relationship since Kelly was always away, he also added that another thing that Senzo was not happy with is the fact that Kelly brought Zandie to guard him while she was away.

“There is a witness who will testify that Senzo took a life cover and Kelly is the beneficiary on that policy. I put it to you that Kelly had Zandie put to guard Senzo when she was away, he further complained that Kelly had someone guard her, I would put it to you that Senzo had a sexual relationship with Zandie because Kelly was always away and he was not happy with it,” Thobane said.

The advocate went on to read the statement that was from Madlala when he told the cops that Senzo sent him some money for him to travel to Gauteng to come and visit him, this is in contradiction to what he had earlier told the court when he said Kelly was the one who sent money to him.

“The fact that Kelly is the one who deposited the money is because Senzo was behind that since I was coming to visit him, so that means Senzo is the one who deposited the money for me,” Madlala said.
