“Watch how South Africans respond to Kelly Khumalo’s attorney, who was a leader of the EFF in the past.”
On July 27, Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), made some comments about Advocate Malesela Teffo and the relation to Kelly Khumalo’s lawyer Magdalene Moonsamy being the former EFF treasurer-general in a tweet. Users of social media responded to these comments.
An individual on Twitter going by the handle @Mo13Tshepo brought to attention the fact that Magdalene Moonsamy, Kelly Khumalo’s attorney, had served as the treasurer-general for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). This comes after statements were made regarding Advocate Malesela Teffo by the leader of the EFF, Julius Malema.
Advocate Teffo has been representing four of the five individuals accused of killing the former captain of the Bafana Bafana soccer team, Senzo Meyiwa. This was prior to him resigning as their legal agent, which occurred later. On October 26, 2014, a failed robbery attempt at the home of singer Kelly Khumalo’s mother in Volsloorus is believed to have resulted in the death of Senzo.
Thingo, who is now seven years old, is the product of Kelly’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend Senzo, who is also referred to as her “baby daddy.” The Tweep brought up the fact that Malema had previously collaborated with Khumalo’s attorney, but advocate Teffo was the subject of much of the conversation.
Take a look…
Other Tweeps have weighed in.
What did Malema have to say about Advocate Teffo, then? The leader of the EFF is quoted as saying that he is self-destructive and that he only has himself to blame. This comes after Advocate Teffo claimed to have an eye witness who witnessed Kelly “mistakenly” pull the trigger on Senzo. Teffo said that the witness saw Kelly squeeze the trigger on Senzo by accident.
“I don’t think there is a single Cyril who plotted anything against him. “He was self destructive, and he has himself to blame,” he stated as he asserted that Advocate Teffo throws around the names of persons without providing any evidence to support his claims.
Consequently, was Malema on Khumalo’s side? It’s not quite that. He made the assertion that Kelly was in possession of some information and urged her to reveal it.
“It is our belief, and it is a very strong belief, that Senzo Meyiwa was murdered. And those folks within the house are the ones who are aware of who killed Senzo. For my part, I am more than confident that Kelly is aware of something. She has my whole and utter belief that she is in possession of some information. He went on to say that there had to be some way for her to be held responsible for her actions.
