Upile uThixo Bongco is a South African actress, writer, director and a vocal artist. She describes herself as a healer and an artist. Her love for acting started in high school, and she continued when she went to Rhodes university where she participated in theatre production plays.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

She made a debut to the National Art Festival when she performed in Thembela Madliki’s production , Nyanga in the National Arts festival. Upile joined Etv’s soap opera Scandal this year in March as Poloko Mzamani. Poloko is a strong willed woman who had a grudge on Mamba( played by Simo Magwaza) and later revealed she is in fact Mamba’s daughter.

The rising star started her weight loss journey in 2019, and has ever since never looked back. The results are amazing and she looks beautiful content with her decision. The actress is currently 23 years of age and she looks beautiful and vibrant. She continues working out and eating healthy.

Upile obtained her BHonors in Drama in 2018 and also her BA in Drama and Psychology in 2017 from Rhodes University. She gained experience in acting and directing from Kwasha theatre company since February 2020 till date.
