The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) have released payment dates for October’s social grants.

If you collect the Older Persons Grant, then you will be able to collect your fees on this date.Other SASSA grants will be paid after this date. Later grants include the In-Aid and R350 SRD grant.

 
Here’s what to know about the Older Persons Grant, and all other social grants are getting paid to their recipients

THE SASSA OLDER PERSONS GRANT
The Older Persons Grant is also called the Pensioners Grant. It provides assistance to those 60 and older, usually without an income and of retirement age.

The SASSA payment date for this grant is: Tuesday, 3 October.SASSA recipients can collect their grant from this date.

If your grant status says APPROVED, then you should be able to collect your funds providing the system is online. If your application still says PENDING or DECLINED, then you should contact SASSA at one of the numbers at the end of this article.If your social grant is approved, then you will receive R10 more than your previous Older Persons grant.

WHEN DO OTHER SASSA GRANTS GET PAID?
If you receive any of the other social grants, then expect to collect your grant on one of these payment dates:

Disability Grant: Wednesday, 4 October
Other Grants: Thursday, 5 October
Social grants like the R350-SRD grant will be paid on Thursday, along with other grants like Childcare and In-Aid Grants.
