Sarah Langa made her first million from her divorce to ex-husband, Jehan Mackay. The social media influencer got candid with her fans on her Instagram Q ‘n A about some of her personal issues.Sarah and her ex-husband Jehan got divorced because of her social media obsession. Her husband left her in September 2019 after being married for only two years and ten months. Within their rocky marriage, they tried counselling for four months but when that did not work, their family had to intervene. After all failed attempts at keeping their marriage together they got a divorce which was expected to leave Sarah with R3 million.
Sarah was and still is doing well for herself. She is educated and also securing bags because of her social media. She lived thee ultimate soft life however was not a millionaire. During her latest IG session with her followers, she revealed that she had her taste of a million all thanks to her divorce. “How did you make your first million?” a fan asked, to which she responded by saying, “I got divorced.”
Ever since being a divorcee, Sarah has been linked to quiet a few men. Many have speculated that her new boo is Redaric Williams. Another man she is rumoured to be involved with is Congolese heartthrob Danny Kals. They have been linked because of their trip to Bali. Another man she was rumoured to be dating was world renowned DJ Black Coffee, but have since squashed those rumours.
Even though she has moved on, she admitted that divorce is not an easy thing to get over. “Divorce is not easy, it feels like losing a best friend, It’s like mourning a best friend’s death to you but also witnessing that same friend’s life through a window without you. The world punishes women for divorces and there’s still so much stigma attached to being a divorcee, you will lose all (of) your married friends, there’s this constant unwanted pity that follows you everywhere you go.
“The feeling of being alone sucks and not to mention the men that have been waiting on the side-lines for the opportunity to take advantage to prey on your vulnerability,” she wrote.
“My advice is to never stay in a toxic marriage but when you walk away do it privately and secure your support structure to protect yourself from the above. Once you have dealt with the challenges and accepted the divorce open yourself up to your new amazing new life and leave the past behind. ”
