Zulu monarchy currently is headed by Misuzulu Sinqobile kaZwelithini. He is the first son of Goodwill Zwelithini’s Great Wife, Queen Mantfombi Dlamini, and hence the third oldest surviving son of King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu.

The coronation ceremony took place yesterday at the Moses Mabhida stadium, and it was there that Cyril Ramaphosa officially recognized King Misuzulu. Ramaphosa said, “King Misuzulu is the rightful and only King of the Zulu nation,” when presenting him with the certificate of recognition. Top government officials, including Mbeki and Msholozi, attended the coronation to show their support for the new Zulu monarch, and the event was a success. When photos of the Coronation were widely shared online, South Africans noticed something strange about the presents the priests gave to King Misuzulu.

A Freemasons ring, thought to be associated with a white supremacist sect, was seen on Misuzulu’s finger. He follows in the footsteps of other prominent African leaders who have been accused of being white people’s puppets: Mbeki, Mandela, and Desmond Tutu. But King Zwelithini, Misuzulu’s father, was also accused of bringing shame on the Zulu people by being accessible to the Freemasons because he wore the same ring as his son.
