Sannah Mchunu aka Zodwa bids a tearful farewell to ‘Gomora’ after the channel cans it.

Mzansi Magic’s Gomora has reached the end of his career. The fourth season of the drama series will premiere on April 24 at 7.30 p.m. Gomora won four awards at the Royalty Soapie Awards on March 12. Shirley Adonisi, M-director of Net’s local entertainment channels, stated, “We are committed to bringing the best content to our viewers, and we must be responsive to their changing needs and preferences.” This means saying good-bye to beloved shows like Gomora, but we’re excited to bring you new, fresh, and exciting content.” It’s been an incredible three years since Mzansi Magic first aired Gomora.

Gomora joins a long list of productions that have ended their runs, including The River, Imbewu, The Queen, Durban Gen, and DiepCity.

“Gomora was always a show that went beyond the screen.” These characters and stories will live on in many people’s hearts and homes for years to come. “A truly memorable show that we will look back on with a sense of accomplishment, knowing we brought light to these important stories,” said executive producer Leanne Khumalo.

“Gomora has been an incredible journey, with many milestones and memories along the way.” We were on the verge of a lockdown when we started this show. During this time, the crew and cast developed a special bond. This power dynamic was shared and experienced on screen as Gomora grew into a family.

The final episode will be broadcast on October 20.

Sanah Mchunu (Zodwa) expressed her sadness on social media at the end of the telenovela.

“Everything, my friends, comes to an end.” Let me take this opportunity to express my gratitude to SERITI Production for providing us with Gomora. We were well treated, which contributed to our excellent performance. It’s my first time working in a place where my craziness is welcomed. “Big things are yet to come,” I tell the Gomora crew and cast. The gates will be opened. It is difficult to lose one’s job, but let us remain optimistic. The Lord, who brought us to Gomora, will transport us and place us somewhere else. Thank you so much for your encouragement, Gomora friends and followers. “I adore you,” she said.
