Many people have grown so accustomed to seeing Nkanyiso Makhaya on their screens. He plays the popular character of Njeza on SABC 1’s number one hit soapie, Uzalo. He left many of his fans torn and in tears when ennounced that he will start hosting SABC 1’s new breakfast show; Vuka Mzansi alongside Rhythm City’s very own Nomalanga Shozi,as of the 20th of November.

Njeza was introduced straight out of prison in season 5 as an ex-con who was very much troubled and responsible for the death of his father;and he gradually grew into the hearts of many viewers.

Fans of the show were devastated as they could not picture how he would juggle a show in the morning and still play Njeza on Uzalo- because in situations like these;one usually takes a hit.

There’s been no information from the Stein Glass production company as to whether or not…Nkanyiso is fired or has resigned from Uzalo. But as we have seen in the previous weeks that the company has been clearing quite a few actors and making space for new ones;so this announcement doesn’t really come as a surprise.
