Actor and Presenter Mpho Sebeng was in car accident this morning around Klerksdorp.
Condolences have started pouring in for the late Actor as many battles to believe the news of his passing.
Mpho Sebeng was born in Soweto 1992 December the 1st
Mpho’s humble media beginnings ascended at the age of 12 when a family friend spotted him in a primary school play and encouraged him to pursue acting. Mpho’s first television debut was on “Justice for all” as well as “Zero Tolerance” which later went to win multiple awards

News of Sebeng’s death first surfaced on microblogs and has yet to be confirmed by his family, which is expected to release a statement soon.

According to sources we spoke to, however, the young actor lost his life in a car accident on his way to Klerksdorp

Mpho Sebeng biography
Born on 1 December 1992, in Soweto, Mpho Sebeng was the eldest of two children in his family.

He completed his education at West Ridge High School in 2011, excelling academically with two distinctions.

Sebeng was not only academically gifted but also actively involved in extracurricular activities; he was the first student at his high school to receive full colours in drama at the age of 17, served as vice-captain of the rugby team, participated in soccer, and earned full colours in athletics.

Sebeng’s passion for acting was evident from an early age.

A family friend first noticed his potential during a primary school play, which eventually led to his pursuit of an acting career.

His television debut came at the tender age of 12, with roles in award-winning shows such as Justice for All and Zero Tolerance.

Some of his notable performances included roles in Bay of Plenty, Khandakulu, and Scandal.

However, it was his portrayal of Tsietsi in the film Winnie, about the life of Winnie Mandela, that marked a high point in his career, allowing him to work alongside prominent actors such as Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard.

Sebeng’s breakthrough role came with the television series Ring of Lies, where he delivered a performance that earned him a nomination for the 2018 South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) for Best Male Actor in a telenovela.

His ambition and talent made him a well-recognised name in the South African film and television industry.
