Last week, reality TV star and radio host Dineo Ranaka claimed that she had been fired from Kaya FM.

The news comes shortly after she took a break from the station after opening up about her mental health troubles.

While she has since announced a new venture, the news did not sit well with former Rhythm City star Zola Hashatsi.Taking to Instagram, the actor and presenter accused the station of ignoring mental health issues.

ZOLA HASHATSI SLAMS KAYA FM
“Dear @kayaon959 @959breakfast_, you know I am a fan, and we are going to work together soon, but how did we go from supporting @dineoranaka with the letter in May to firing her?” asked Hashatsi.

Not mincing his words, he wrote that Dineo was let go because of the trip she took to New York shortly after taking a break from work. He also added that he isn’t. sure he wants to work with the station anymore.

This does not sit well with me, and I’m not sure if I want to work with you guys again. Depression is real, and a lot of us are suffering from it silently, so because she went to NYC, and this happens,” said the actor.

He then went on to point out that Unathi Nkayi and Sibongile Mtayi were also fired from the station in a similar manner.

“I won’t be tuning in until this is solved. You did this with @unathi.co and Sibongile Mtayi. I am not happy

While some have shown Dineo ample support, others have slammed her as an attention seeker.

Many of them lambasted her for taking a trip abroad after opening up about dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts.

“I understand depression! But when you are working with responsibilities! You do not have the luxury to go to New York and galavant! Go get help!” one app user wrote.
