Singer Ruth Matete continues to open up regarding a tough stretch she encountered following her hubby’s death.
Matete was recently on social media to suggest that her friends deserted her when things were thick following death. Family, friends and even social media at first accused the singer of killing her hubby.
Matete hinted that some friends distanced themselves from her after she started trending.
“Sometimes the storm in your life has nothing to do with you but has everything to do with those around you,” she shared in a copied message.
“We are living in days where to find real people isn’t easy, too many fake relationships and associations. It is easy for many to say you are my best friend, covenant brother or sister, spiritual son or daughter or my spiritual dad or mum.
She went on to hint that fake friends will never stay during turmoil.
“The only thing that tests this claim is a storm, don’t cry too much when in the storm, don’t beat yourself so hard when the storm comes, don’t run out of the storms of life it’s not always about you, it’s about those around you,” she added.
Ruth has been making headlines on social media recently with her posts, opening up in bits as she continues to heal almost 5 months since her husband died.
