Rowlene To Drop Her New Album Expect nothing but good music

South African singer and songwriter Rowlene, has been working tirelessly hard to bless her legion of fans with great music and she will stop at nothing.

The label is owned by multi-award winning rapper Nasty C. The 23-year-old sultry artist from Cape Town is claiming her spot in the music scene with her unmatched vocal prowess, distinct tone, and fearless persona.Image Cred: Provided
Rowlene has been building her craft and climbing the charts by collaborating with various noteworthy names. The musician is no stranger to singing growing up Rowlene had a liking for music and she has since become a household name with her catchy vocals.

Now she makes a calculated step with the release of her album that is primed to shake up the industry.

Rowlene hails from Elsies River, Cape Town, she is the middle child and only girl in the family. The musician attended Valhalla Primary School and JE Klopper Primary School where she sang soprano in the school choir.

On a trip to Johannesburg, Rowlene met Nasty C, and they began collaborating which led to the 2016 hit “Phases” and the multi-platinum hit “SMA.” More collaborations and features followed with “Amen (A.Reece), “Dance With You” Riky Rick, “Runaway” Gemini Major and Note to self” Tellaman. Nasty C singed Rowlene to his Tall Racks Records.The singer rose to fame after she released her single Imposter in 2016 and it got her some huge recognition The Tall Racks Records signee says her new single has been receiving rave reviews from her fans.

“The reactions from my fans are really good, they have been making cute videos of the single and it is great to see them excited about my latest work.” “Stop” is about understanding one’s purpose and role and how indispensable you may be,” Rowlene shares.

The singer uses a cellphone charger as a metaphor for reference.

‘I’m tired of being a power source and I’m left empty and seeing how it affects me. It’s a feel-good song.” “You have to understand your self-worth and act on it. You’re your own biggest resource. The universe will return the frequencies you send out.”
She counts on her emotionally textured voice to deliver the meaning with impact.

‘Music is so delicate and open to interpretation, but the emotions I evoke will be felt.’ concluded Rowlene.

The RnB artist is set to drop her new album soon and it is titled 11:11.

“My album is based on the expression of myself and who I am, fans can expect some really dope music from track one to the last track because I collaborated with great artists.”
Rowlene says she started working on the album last year and she felt it was fitting to release it this year. The musician says she is definitely owning her throne with this album.

“I have always been working on good music and I had a lot of songs that I had to cut down, this year was a great opportunity for me since also we are on lockdown so I had so much time to plan for its release,” she explains.

“I feel the music should speak for itself, comments Rowlene. “It’s been a long time coming and we are finally here. I wanted my album to be a compilation of a playlist that I could listen to as well as the next person and so the process to curate the songs was meticulous and diligent.”

The musician has solidified herself as one of South Africa’s most popular women in RnB and she says her entire experience in the music industry has been a roller-coaster ride.

“It has been a rollercoaster, there are bad times and good times I have learned a lot and I have grown a lot which is really amazing”

The musician has collaborated with Nasty on numerous projects and she says working with him is nothing short of amazing.

“It is really dope, he is really professional and he is a genius.”
