Legendary playwright, filmmaker, actor and creative director Cont Mhlanga has died, the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe has said.

“The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe announces the death of veteran playwright and Amakhosi Theatre Productions founder Cont Mhlanga,” the council said.

 

It is the way of all of us, the way that none of us can ever avoid. We know that it is a painful thing to lose a beloved one, moreover when that person is a breadwinner of the family. There are people that through their achievements, they become the sure hope that the family. In most cases I’ve seen that those are the ones that normally leaves early.

The people that are needed most, are the ones that we normally lose. It is only that none of us is in control of death. It comes at an appointed time, when the appointed time has come, no doctor, politician or rich man has got power to stop it from happening. Only God has the power to avoid it, rest in peace big man. May your soul find rest and favour with God.
