RIP: The great Msizi Nkosi has passed away

There have been so many reports of celebrity deaths lately and Mzansi is struggling to cope. The latest celebrity who has sadly passed away is former Ukhozi FM radio personality and author, Msizi Edgar Nkosi. The author of ‘I’m A Better Mess Than I Was Yesterday’. Msizi was recognized for “unearthing” the gem that is Ngcukaitobi by being the first producer to interview him back in 2006 on 3Talk with Noeleen. Msizi also presented prominent TV shows like Khumbulekhaya and he was a celebrated radio mogul.

In his uniquely South African confessional memoir, Msizi E. Nkosi held back on absolutely nothing. He wrote about the early promise of his childhood that was shattered by family tragedy that pushed him into a swirling vortex of booze, drugs and s*x. His book maps the journey of his humble childhood in KwaZulu-Natal to his fast-paced lifestyle in Johannesburg’s entertainment world.

In 2016, Msizi was fired from Ukhozi FM for spending too much time “promoting his book”. He had been absent from work for a week.

Entertainment Commentator and King of verified news, Kgopolo Mphela, has confirmed the said news on Twitter. “RIP: Msizi E. NkosiTV and Radio producer, Msizi Nkosi has passed away.” Mphela said. Msizi’s cause of death has not yet been revealed but it seems it was so sudden because he had updated a Facebook post just hours ago.
