DJ for the Christian radio station Radio Pulpit and host of the music program Gospel Gold, Sipho Kaleni was a well-known radio and TV personality in South Africa. Several famous people, including Thami Ngubeni, have spoken out about his death. Sipho Kaleni (38), a gospel singer, was also a born-again Christian, a father of three, and the husband of Nomelikhaya Kaleni. Sipho Kaleni was born in Springs, but she spent most of her childhood in KwaThema, where she attended both Umsobomvu Primary School and Nkumbulo Comprehensive School.

Sipho has been actively involved in the gospel music industry as a recording artist, theatrical artist, and producer since 1998, when he graduated from the Mbira school of music and arts (in Springs). One who writes lyrics, composes music, orchestrates, and cultivates new talent. He featured as a vocalist in South African popular gospel groups and competed in national gospel talent search programs. At Radio Pulpit, he was responsible for reviewing new gospel albums and listening to and reviewing new music of all genres in all eleven official South African languages.

After I die, I won’t be able to see your social media postings about my influence, so while I’m still here, I’d appreciate it if you’d laugh at my bad jokes, acknowledge my incredible gift and impact, and give your amen to my praise.
