A mother and her biological kids have a very strong bond. Some don’t literally know how to exist as one. When one dies, the other longs to reconnect. The person, be it a mother or kid may have phantom pain or feel half dead. He or she may feel a need to represent both him or herself and the deceased or may even take on behaviours of the deceased.

It is with sadness to report to you that Zinhle Mavasa’s son is no more. Giyani – Land Of Blood actress nearly lost her life too in a horrific accident a day after losing her son. Her one year 5 months son died from brain damage and lung disease. He was the second twin.

“He was born with lung disease, but I thought he was going to live longer. I had faith I would see him go to high school and university, but God had other plans,” she said.

The star also added that she feels that she is cursed as her life has had a series of tragic events.

“This is too much for me to handle. I can’t even focus anymore as this has affected me psychologically. I can’t cope with these losses. I have lost hope and don’t even know what to do anymore. I am so heartbroken as a mother. It hurts a lot as I was looking forward to raising my baby. I am still shocked. I pray to God to give me strength to hold on a little longer,” she said.

Expecting multiples is even more exciting in that you will have not just one but at least two new bundles of joy. However, with that added excitement also comes an increased risk of complication. Even worse than complication, some families may lose one or all of the babies. Whether complications are identified early on or the loss is sudden, unexpected and later in term, the grief can be world shattering. It is a loss that you will carry with you, very deeply, for a very long time.
