Mandla Maphumulo, the songster who was famously known by the adopted stage name Mampintsha, was born in Umlazi in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where he also began his music career.

He found fame early as a member of the kwaito group Big Nuz, which burst into the music scene in 2002 and thrilled South Africa with several winning numbers and the soaraway album “For The Fans.” The group comprises Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, Mzi “Danger” Tshomela, and the late Sbusiso “R Mashesha” Khoma. Mampintsha died of a stroke on 4 December 2023.

Since the passing

It has been a sad year so far for babes, it’s not a month since she buried her husband now she will have to bury her mother-in-law after they tried so hard to fix their relationship with her mother-in-law after facing so much family drama of fighting public. Today she is no more.

With a heavy heart, Babes took to her social media account to share that her mother-in-law has passed away. She also posted saying Sponge grandmother RIP, please send my love to my husband I love you.

This is so painful for Babes. What got people emotional is the video of Mampintsha and his mother. In the video shared, Mampintsha’s mother is seen rubbing Mampintsha’s legs. This shows how much this family loved each other. It just happened that they had disagreements that ended up in public for people to see, and this made people think otherwise about them. We are hoping the remaining family will fix things with babe.

TO MAMPINTSHA’S MOM MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE.
