RIP: Chairman Pays A Tribute To A Former Chiefs Player

After a few days since our legend passes away messages of condolences continue to pour in for him. Kaizer Motaung has broken his silence regarding the sad passing of Jerry Sadike who lost his life in hospital after going missing for a while.

Jerry Sadike lost his life at the age of 70 despite playing for both teams, he was loved by both sets of fans may his soul continue to rest in peace.

According to our chairman he used his voice to tackle serious issues as we all know in the past, our black people were oppressed under the government of apartheid.

He was a man of peace it was very rare to see him engage in arguments, Motaung labeled the sad passing of Jerry Sadike as a very sad moment for his family.

As we all know that a few days ago the chairman of the Premier Soccer League, Dr. Irvin Khoza made some very important announcements when he introduced a new competition in the form of the Carling Cup.

He took some time as well to pay a touching tribute to Jerry Sadike, he is a legend on both sides of Soweto which is rare it shows you he was a very top-class player. I strongly believe that in the next Soweto Derby before the kickoff players are going to give him a moment of silence in his honor.

Jerry Sadike was one of the first and few players to score for both teams during a Soweto Derby, to make the record impressive he was not even a striker he was a winger but operated more as a creative playmaker. It’s such a sad loss to football, in general, it’s a pity he didn’t go into coaching he had a lot of things to offer in our game.
