THE Wound of Killer Kau and Mpura’s death is still fresh and the country has not come to terms with their passing, they are still reeling in shock and still sad. Now they have to deal with another popular celebrity who has died.
It looks like death is having a stay in the entertainment industry as week after week, we lose celebrities to death. This is not easy to accept. No matter how many times death knock at the door but one can not get used to it, it always cause deep and immense pain.
On Sunday, Mzansi Celebrity News reported that Msizi E Nkosi has unfortunately passed away (https://opr.news/s623b497f210815en_za?link=1&client=news). He died on Sunday during the day, as his family has reported in a statement they released. His sudden passing has left many people in shock and even now they have not come to terms with it. He was a very genius person who had lot of good points and his reputational work speak for itself in the media industry.
He became Ukhozi FM drive show, Woza Nabangani Bakho, producer in some few years back and was moved to produce a midday show hosted by Nonhlanhla Mroza Buthelezi. His good work started to be noticed when he was producing Woza Nabangani Bakho drive show that was hosted by Selby Mkhize and Khathide Tshatha Ngobe.
He turned that show around and brought in lot of good points which saw the show growing in a big way. It definitely became one of the best drive shows in South Africa, the way he made such a good content in it. Even today, there is no show that reached that level. Msizi was undoubtedly, a beast in radio.
In 2017, he was fired from Ukhozi FM after missed many days, close to a week at work. Msizi was busy promoting his tell all book/ memoir called “I’m a better mess than I was yesterday”. His book was speaking about his own experiences he encountered in his life when almost lost it including his life. That time Msizi was sinking heavily in alcohol and made lot of wrong decisions which landed him in hospital.
On that book, he reveals how he made a come back, took control of his life and changed it to become a better person than he was yesterday.
He didn’t end there as he went back on TV to be the Head of content on a talk show, Daily Thetha, which airs on SABC 1. It was not his first show as he produced SABC 3 Talk show, called 3 Talk with Noeleen which was hosted by Noeleen Maholwana Sangqu. Msizi also produced Take 5 and Zola 7 shows, both in SABC 1. Needless to say, Nkosi was a master of content, he always gave the best content. The industry has really lost a huge fish, the big tree has fallen.
He was also in business as he owned a salon called Ed King Lifestyle, in South gate, Johannesburg.
Many celebrities took to twitter to convey their shock at his passing. His friends on social media were very saddened as they remembered him as a person of humour. Even the last post that he made earlier on yesterday had a humour in it. It’s read “Noma ngingashada ngisho sengina 55 years old. Ngfuna nithi ‘Yaze yayinhle into yezingane”, and that was his last post.
Nkosi family and his company, EdKing lifestyle, issued a statement confirming his death. They stated that he was involved in a car accident, sadly he didn’t survive. They asked to be given time to process everything and requested some privacy as they are preparing his burial.
