There’s a debate about why MaKhumalo isn’t quite fitting like a glove with the ladies of the Real Housewives of Durban. For starters, I think she just isn’t the bubbliest person alive so she’s finding it a bit uncomfortable to have to break out of her shell. It’s worse that the ladies are not trying to comb her into the group so she ends up isolating herself and staying in her own corner.

 

 

 

Laconco’s snarky comments and behaviour towards MaKhumalo has led to the conclusion that she’s influenced the other ladies to steer clear of Thobile. Nonetheless, it would be comforting to see Thobile try to form her own relations with the ladies so that they get to know her from their own lenses.

As it stands now, she’s not giving the ladies a narrative about her, she just acts like an outcast and behaves like a bystander who was called to the show undeservingly. That alone, has helped erase the narrative that it’s LaConco who’s making her uncomfortable.

Viewers also cannot help but feel that her role on the show is unnecessary because she’s not giving us anything to work with. On the latest episode where they were meant to dress up for Halloween, she didn’t even try being creative with the theme and looked out of place.

One viewer cemented the general disgruntled and tweeted, “MaKhumalo must not come back the next season. She just doesn’t fit. At that Halloween party, ]she looked like a lost passenger in a moving train]. The producers of The Real Housewives of Durban must just not bring her back. She doesn’t fit in at all. She is actually boring to watch.”
