In a heart-wrenching announcement, we are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Oratile Malefyane More, a true Lupus Warrior. Born on May 13, 1996, Oratile’s indomitable spirit and unwavering strength were an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tragically, after a prolonged battle with illness, she left us on Women’s Day, August 9, 2023.
Oratile’s journey was one that was characterized by bravery, resiliency, and an unwavering determination to live life to the fullest despite the difficulties she encountered. Diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease that can cause severe fatigue, joint pain, and a range of other debilitating symptoms, she chose not to be defined by her illness. Instead, she emerged as a beacon of hope for countless others grappling with similar conditions.
Throughout her life, Oratile’s radiant smile and infectious positivity were a testament to her remarkable spirit. She embraced her role as a Lupus Warrior with grace and tenacity, becoming an advocate for awareness and understanding of the disease. Her determination to raise awareness about lupus not only educated the public but also inspired fellow warriors to keep fighting.
