Berita remembers the late South African music legend, Hugh Masekela. The musicians collaborated on a song titled Mwana Wa Mai; which was a classic. The singer shared a music video of their song to celebrate Hugh’s birthday.She paid tribute to him and celebrated his legacy.

So grateful to have worked with both him and Baba Tuku,” Berita wrote.The late musician was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008, TshisaLIVE reported. Hugh died at his home in Johannesburg on 23 January 2018. His friends, family, fans, and his other half Nomsa Manaka were said to have gathered at the University of Johannesburg’s Soweto Campus for his memorial service. He was allegedly later cremated in a private ceremony, SowetanLIVE reported.
“In his mind, he never accepted the thought that he was going to die,” the legendary musician’s sister Barbara was quoted as saying at his memorial. “He believed that he was going to get better and live forever,” Barbara reportedly added.
