Nowadays, it’s even scary to be in a relapse; marriages are turning into cold blooded wars. Back then, being in a relationship was so fun; people used to live and cherish each other, but nowadays things are different; if it’s not gender-based, it’s women abusing or killing their husbands. What even makes it worse for men is that no one stands up for men who are being abused by their rule partner; if you are a man and tell someone that you are being abused, they will just laugh at you, but to women it’s different, which is why some say there is no justice for men in South Africa.
Speaking about men who are being abused by their partners, there is a trending story of a police officer who was painfully by a woman he was dating. According to the reports, Bongiwe Praise Magwaza (22) has been arrested for the murder of Sgt. Kgopotso Ntsana (34) stationed at Elsburg SAPS. It is alleged that Magwaza stabbed and shot Ntsana in the head after an argument in Windmill Park Estate, Boksburg.
Those who know these two closely said that this woman is well known for being troublesome in the village; some say she has been beating him for a while. Knowing our South African law well, this woman will be getting a bail very soon. Mind you, this incident is happening just after there was a lady who got a free bail at Thohoyandou after she stabbed a man to death. It seems like the law doesn’t treat men as softly as it does women.
It is true when they say that men are on their own. You will never see people raising awareness about male abuse; all they do is advocate for women, although there are men who are being abused and killed every day. In my opinion, the South African law must be changed because women take advantage of the fact that the law favors them, which is why they abuse their husbands because they know that if a man fights back, they will be arrested. What are your takes on this matter?
