Born Charlene Chiedza Kudazi Mhende on October 19, 1991, Chi Mhende is a well-known actress. She spent her formative years in Zimbabwe before making the big journey to Cape Town, South Africa.

In 2006, she attended AFDA, a South African institution that specializes in both film and stage performance. Chi Mhende originally planned on becoming a doctor, but she changed her mind after realizing she had a knack for acting.

She also appeared in Generations: The Legacy, where her portrayal of a male character caused a stir as Mzansi learned that Chi Mhende is a woman. Short films including Th Tunnel, Lazy Suzan, and Scribbling include Chi Mhende as an actor.
