Remember Killer Kau? Meet The Last Girl He Dated Before His Tragic Death

Born in Soweto on July 5, 1998, Sakhile Hlatshwayo, better known by his stage name Killer Kau, is an accomplished rapper, dancer, and producer.

After sharing a video of himself singing Tholukuthi Hey, the young musician quickly became well-known. When the video went viral, DJ Euphonik noticed it and helped Killer Kau record his first hit song and launch his musical career.

Killer Kau was chosen by Death on August 9, 2021, one month after his 23rd birthday, at the height of his youth and development.

The musician was killed in a horrible car accident while en route to a concert in Rustenburg, North West, along with his best friend and fellow Amapiano artist Mpura, as well as up-and-coming performers Khanya “The Voice” Hadebe, DJ Thando Tot, and TD.

The girlfriend of Killer Kau was Olwethu Mkhwanazi. The two were quite private about their relationship and seldom ever shared pictures on social media while Killer Kau was still alive.

Killer Kau only ever posted a picture of his girlfriend in a passionate hug on his 23rd birthday; however, her face was hidden, and he didn’t tag or identify her. The terrible passing of Killer Kau affected his closest friends, especially his girlfriend.

Olwethu Mkhwanazi wrote a devastating obituary for her deceased lover on Instagram and claimed that no agony could compare to what she experienced that day. A terrible video montage of the two together was released by her. We wish for her and everyone else affected by Amapiano’s passing to recover.

When Killer Kau’s girlfriend declared she would always love and miss him but was ready to move on, it sparked a debate online.

The second half of the internet argued that she was still young and hadn’t even been Killer Kau’s wife while the first half of the internet chastised her for moving on too soon. Olwethu may still be taking her time and concentrating on herself given that she just received her college degree.
