Magic Mzansi Prepare to meet the much-discussed Zulu brothers and their world of taxi wars and tender love stories when you watch The Wife. The first episode of the series will show on Channel 161 on September 12 at 21:30.
On Monday afternoon, MNet released this noteworthy information.
One of the most thrilling dramas since Isibaya is The Wife. The Showmax original is the most popular on the service and has set numerous records.
The second installment of the series première attracted more first-time viewers than the first, shattering that record.
Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment at MNet, stated: “After seeing The Wife’s outstanding and record-breaking performance on Showmax, we have chosen to make it available to our DStv Compact subscribers.
According to Adonisi, the channel is confident that its viewers would enjoy and fall in love with the plot and the characters. She claims that the story has had a profound impact on the viewers, who are delighted to introduce them to this fascinating world.
Dudu Busani Dube served as an inspiration for Stained Glass as they adapted The Wife for the big screen.
The tale centers on Hlomu, a young, feisty journalist who is brilliantly portrayed by Mbalenhle Mavimvela. She meets Mqhele Zulu, an attractive, intense, and dangerous taxi driver, who was portrayed by Bonko Khoza.
The Zulu brothers live a highly hidden existence, constantly on the defensive against rivals, and Hlomu is thrown into it. From that point on, everything becomes worse.
The third installment of the story, which has grown to be one of Showmax’s most popular series, is anticipated to premiere in November.
The Wife will be broadcast on Mzansi Magic every three days from Monday to Wednesday, and viewers may relax knowing that an omnibus is available every Saturday from 21:30 to 23:00.
Many of the original cast members have left the program, which has been experiencing some changes. These actors include Abdul Khoza and Zikhona Sodlaka, as well as Bonko Khoza and Mbalenhle Mavimbela, who portray Hlomu and Mqhele Zulu. This many confused viewers caused queries about other characters, particularly Bhut’omdala, who has emerged as the show’s main character and is portrayed by Mondli Mmakhoba, to flood social media.
Currently, the show is being produced.
