Well, it appears we are yet to see and read about Rami as she continues to make headlines for all the right reasons. Yes, she is winning!
Just a few days ago, she was the talk of the town when she announced on her social media that she had secretly gotten married. Who even knew she had a boyfriend? Who now knows who the husband is? I guess that’s talk for another day.
Today, we send congratulatory words to one of South Africa’s most seasoned actors, Rami Chuene, who’s graced our screens for years with her acting skills. The 46-year-old has bagged an acting gig on Giyani: Land Of Blood.
Giyani: Land of Blood is a South African telenovela drama series created by Tshedza Pictures which aired on SABC2. It is the very first Xitsonga drama series made since the advent of Television in South Africa and has secured a spot in the industry.
The casting news was first announced by Phil Mphela on Twitter, who’s known to break news before any other media house.
Rami will be joining the likes of Obed Baloyi, Charles Baloyi, Themba Hlungwani and many others in season 2 of the telenovela as Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s substitution.
According to the producers, this season will blow our minds with verified content and drama. The more reason to look forward to the soapie.
However, it is quite unfortunate that one of the biggest names on the telenovela is exiting (Yvonne Chaka Chaka), but Rami as a substitute is a complete win for the soapie.
Before Giyani: Land of blood, Chuene, who’s surname may have now changed was on Isono (2020), Strike Back (2010), The Queen (2016), Happiness Is A Four Letter Word (2016) and many more. With each role, she managed to win the hearts of Mzansi, hence we look forward to seeing how well she gels with this new role.
