It seems Pearl Thusi has found her own prince charming and is ready to walk down the isle. So, who is the new mysterious man?
Pearl Thusi is undoubtedly one of South Africa’s most influential actresses; she starred in the title role of the critically acclaimed Netflix crime drama series Queen Sono, which was Netflix’s first African original.
The 33 year old is also known for her portrayal of Patricia Kopong in the BBC/HBO comedy-drama series, The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, Dayana Mampasi in the ABC thriller Quantico and Samkelo in the romantic drama film Catching Feelings.
Earlier this year, Thusi spiked speculations that she had found love again after she uploaded a picture on her social media page and captioned it ‘umjolo wami’.
Fans of the actress were happy to see her in love again.
Pearl’s last rumored relationship was with a professional basket ball player, Serge Ibaka. Though both parties never confirmed the news.
Thusi was previously engaged to Robert Marawa, a sport journalist,TV and radio presenter. The pair did not end up tying the knot as they split in 2017.
On an interview with Mac G’s Podcast and Chill, Thusi opened up about the relationship and why it ended.
“Robert and I had a great relationship things didn’t work for reasons we’d rather not talk about. That wasn’t our intentions but that’s what happened. You need to know when to leave situations no matter how much you want to stay. When something is not good for you don’t die in it, learn from it and move on.” She said.
Pearl Thusi has been in love for some time, and has kept the identity of her new man in hush hush for past couple of months.
But, Sundayworld recently learnt of his identity through court papers when she was finalizing her adoption process for a relative’s daughter, who is battling drug addiction.
In a bid to persuade the court to give her custody of the child, she had to state her relationship status and also reveal the name of her boy friend.
“I have been resident at my … since December 2014. I reside with my 13-year-old daughter who has happily welcomed … and sees her as her younger sister.
I am in a stable relationship with a loving, caring and honest man, Shaun Keith Alfred Bonétt, who owns a global conglomerate of business and philanthropic foundations, and whom I am planning to marry. He too has happily accepted … as his own,” wrote Pearl as stated by the publication.
