We are living in a society where a human life is no longer valued; every day like it’s no big deal. Since January 2022, an average of seven women have been every day in South Africa. No matter how much we try to raise awareness about , it never ends; every day we see different reports of people getting . Nowadays, it’s even getting worse because they are attacking even men; we live in constant fear that we might be the next victim.

 

Since last week there has been a couple that is trending all over social media. The couple was expecting a baby but suddenly they went missing and no one knew their whereabouts. People have been sharing their photos all over social media, and eventhe police have asked for the public’s assistance in finding them.

Today we woke up to the saddest news ever: the couple was found, but unfortunately they were all found dead, both the wife, the husband, and their Reports didn’t reveal what exactly happened; they didn’t tell us what happened to them since it is still a developing story, but they were found dumped in the fields. The death of this couple left many hearts shuttered, even those who didn’t know them personally; their search made them their family because we were all joined together trying to find them.

My condolences to habo Kiwiet Mokoena and Nokuphila Dladla (8 months pregnant), the couple from Vaal but originating from Qwaqwa, who were found ditched in a veld in Pleinstreet. It is true that we live in an evil world; a baby’s life was cut short before she could even see the world. May their souls rest in peace with the hope that justice will prevail and the perpetrators will be arrested.
