Queen B joins a star studded cast of change makers in the launch of Malaria campaign.

Bonang Matheba famously known as Queen B, is a gorgeous woman with many talents. This time around she is trending for the right reasons as she takes on the role of a news presenter. The award winning TV personality has bagged an international campaign in the fight against Malaria, alongside a soccer legend David Beckham. In the launch of the second chapter of the multi award winning “Draw the Line Against Malaria” campaign, Bonang Matheba joined hands with a star studded cast of change makers, such as Afro Pop- singer and actress Yemi Alade, Kenyan Olympic running champion Faith Kipyegon and others.
 

 

 

Taking to her social platforms, Queen B posted a video of the campaign and showed gratitude and pride to be part of this campaign that makes a difference in people’s lives. She went on to express how the campaign will help the nation create a future that is free from Malaria. The aim is to create a Africa free from Malaria thus, this campaign communicates with young people who have had their future held back by this contagious disease, she said.

The latest World Malaria Report figures revealed that the Covid pandemic contributed to Malaria deaths between 2019 and 2020. ” We know this is a winnable fight, my home country South Africa, is edging even closer to eliminating this preventable disease. Let’s take our voices to the Kigali summit on Malaria and NTD’s in June, and The Global Fund replenishment in September and show the leaders we must draw the line against Malaria,” she said.
