Public rejection: Hungry Lion gives Tito a thumbs down

Former South African finance minister Tito Mboweni is definitely enjoying his retirement from politics — aside from an odd comment about current affairs every now and then. The fun-loving minister has been working on his cooking skills for years now and appears to have most of his fun in the kitchen — that is when there is no load shedding to place a damper on things.

 

 

 

Mboweni was back in the kitchen this week and made another one of his unusual chicken dishes . In the comment section, one X user suggested fast food restaurant Hungry Lion hire him and they shared the most hilarious response.If there is one thing about former minister Tito Mboweni, it’s that he loves himself some cooking time.

On Wednesday this week, the 64-year-old found himself in his favourite room in his home, the kitchen.

Taking to Twitter, he shared that he was making some chicken minus the boat loads of water, garlic and onion that he usually uses while cooking.While many were glad that he did away with his usual ingredients, it would appear that move alone was not enough for fast food chain Hungry Lion to hire him.

In the comment section one of Tito’s followers tagged the restaurant and asked them to hire the retired politician.
