Their desire for success and recognition can cloud their judgment, leading them to accept unfavourable contracts or unequal distribution of profits. One group that found themselves on top of the trend list today is popular gospel group Abathandwa. They were introduced to the music industry by Ayanda Ncwane. That’s when they released their first single. It is reported that the gospel group is accusing their former manager Ayanda Ncwane of not paying them their royalties. Abathandwa also claim that Ayanda Ncwane only gave them a plague after their song went mult -platinum and kept all the coins.

The group leader Percy Nyoka said that there were no contracts between the group and Ncwane communications as Ayanda’s late husband wanted to groom them. He went on to say that he has not received anything with regards to royalties and they can’t afford anything. It was previously reported that the group dumped Ncwane communications. It was long before the social media users jumped on the topic. One tweep said, “At least she bought them nice uniforms, they always looking good hey.”

“We will believe when we hear it from them”, said another tweep. The truth is that exploitation of artists in the music industry is a harsh reality. Unfair contracts, manipulative managers, and unequal distribution of profits are common occurrences. Many artists face financial exploitation and struggle to maintain creative control over their work, highlighting the need for industry reform.
