Pop Smoke’s Killer Sentenced To 4 Years In Juvenile

At the time of the incident, the defendant was 17 years old and is now 20 years old. The judge, J. Christopher Smith, refused to reduce the sentence based on the time the defendant already spent in prison, which was 2 years and 8 months.

The defendant’s lawyer previously argued that their client had a learning disability, which made him unable to stand trial. Pop Smoke was shot and killed during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills in February 2020.

The case was difficult for the police, who had no breaks during the prolonged investigation. Three other suspects, including minors and Corey Walker, were charged, but their trials have not taken place yet.
