The South African Police Service (SAPS) members in Newlands, Johannesburg (Gauteng Province) have made a shocking discovery of suspected stolen copper from a bakkie however no arrests have been made because the driver fled.
According to Make South Africa safe news report, earlier today, Monday, 4 July 2022 South African Police Service (SAPS) members were called to the scene after a bakkie crashed in Newlands, Johannesburg (Gauteng Province) on arrival the driver of the vehicle was nowhere to be found, he had ran away after the vehicle crashed.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) members searched the bakkie and were left shocked after they found a large quantity of suspected stolen copper with an estimated value of R210 000, the copper and the bakkie were seized for further investigation. No arrests were made.
Whoever has any information which could lead to the apprehension of the driver should contact the saps phone number or report at the nearest police station.
