The star of Paris Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappe has now responded to accusations that Paul Pogba used witchcraft to harm him.

Pogba has been involved in a scandal for the past few weeks after his brother Mathias made some damaging claims about the Juventus star on social media.

After the former Manchester United playmaker reported to police that a gang was trying to extort money from him, authorities are reportedly looking into extortion allegations against him.

Mathias and a few of Pogba’s childhood friends are among the alleged offenders, and the group is thought to have issued several serious threats against the player beginning on March 25.

Additionally, Mathias charged the France midfielder with using a witch doctor to curse Mbappe, a charge that Pogba has refuted.

The PSG forward has now responded to the scandal, acknowledging that he preferred Pogba’s word to that of his brother.

According to Get French Football News, Mbappe stated, “Today I prefer to believe the word of my teammate.”

 
“Because it’s his word against his brother’s, I’m going to believe my teammate.”

“This is not the time to heap more on him. “I’m kind of detached from it all.”

The 23-year-old is said to have contacted both Pogba brothers in the last week to inquire about why his name was being bandied about in the ongoing saga and to gain a better understanding of the situation.

If Pogba is found guilty of his brother’s accusations, according to a number of French reports, he may be forced to withdraw from the November 2022 FIFA World Cup.
