For her performance as Dineo Mashaba in Generations, Katlego won the South African Film and Television Award for Best Actress in 2006 and again in 2010.

As of the year 2017, Katlego Danke is the proud mother of a young child. The actress is rumored to be expecting her second child in 2022. Reports indicate that the cast and crew of Gomora are aware of Thathi’s pregnancy, and that the writers are actively attempting to work it into the plot.
