Phindile Gwala was born in Eshowe, KwaZulu Natal, on December 26, 1986. Her parents, both pastors in their local church in KwaZulu, raised her there. Her performance as Nonny Nkosi in Muvhango made her one of the top actors in the film. She made her debut in the SABC2 soap in 2012, but five years later, she announced her resignation. Phindile indicated to the new Metro FM breakfast team that she wants to use her show as a springboard into a career in business management.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nonny, played by Phindile on Muvhango, was anything but smooth. As a result of her celebrity on television, she had a difficult time finding a partner. Because of an ex’s claim that she faked tears after being wounded, she ended up ending a relationship. Since then, she’s avoided getting into any new partnerships.
