Ama Qamata is a 21-year-old South African actress from the village of Cala in the Sakhisizwe municipality in the Eastern Cape.
Buhle Ndaba in Mzansi Magic’s Gomora and Puleng Khumalo in Netflix’s Blood & Water are two of her most prominent parts. Puleng and Fikile, played by Ama Qamata and Khosi Ngema, are long-lost sister.
Ama Qamata is the daughter of African parents.
Ama Qamata attended the Reddam House School in South Africa for her collegiate studies.
She is a student at the University of Cape Town, where she studies theatre and performance.
She had to go to Johannesburg to film the Mzasi Magic soapie after obtaining the part. As a result, she placed her academics on wait and pressed the pause button.
Pearl Thusi, South Africa’s biggest super star, is credited for discovering Ama. Ama Qamata and Pearl Tulsi were featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan South Africa’s March 2020 Netflix edition.
Blood and Water by Ama Qamata is not available on Netflix. In 2019, Netflix announced the show. She is one of the series’ two main characters.
