Amanda du-Pont (born 26 June 1988) is a South African actress, model, and television host who was born in Swaziland. Senna in the CW drama series Life is Wild and Sharon in the SABC 3 comedy-drama Taryn & Sharon are two of Du-most Pont’s best-known roles. She is now starring in the Netflix thriller series “Shadow” as Ashley. She is best known for her role as Nompumelelo “Lelo” Mthiyane in the SABC 1 soap series Skeem Saam.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Du-Pont was born in Manzini, Swaziland, on June 26, 1988. Her ancestors are French, Italian, Portuguese, and Swazi. She was born and raised in Manzini, where she shared a home with her Swati relative, Alulutho Du Pont. They afterwards relocated to Mpumalanga to complete their education at Uplands College.

The South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance in Johannesburg awarded Du-Pont a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011. The following year, she received a full scholarship for scholastic excellence from the New York Film Academy in New York City.

Amanda Du Pont has recently been trending on social media after she exposed Jub Jub to the abuse she had to endure in his gands, as well as sexual assault for the two years they had been together. Many people have come forward in support of Amanda, and others have also got the courage to come out and speak.
