When you were younger, being labeled a sangoma was something to be afraid of or angry about, but times have changed. There was a common misconception that only the elderly would be invited to Sangomaro. They were very young when the call came, and many of them didn’t know what to make of it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

For the obvious reason that “sangomas” is a pejorative term. They were worried that if they accepted, their coworkers would look down on them. Thus, modern individuals are more accepting of their calling and are content to become sangomas at an early age. They don’t understand why regular folks and celebrities alike are turning to sangomas.
