Nhlanhla Nciza is a South African singer who, along with Theo Kgosinkwe and Tebogo Madingoane, formed the popular musical trio Mafikizolo. She is also a fashion icon whose African print clothing has inspired ladies.

Nciza rose to prominence in 1997 after her Mafikizolo band became well-known. Nciza, Tebogo Madingoane, and Theo Kgosinkwe made composed the kwaito group. The group’s debut album, Music Revolution, was published in 1999, and their second, Gate Crasher, was released in 2000.

On February 14, 2004, one of the group’s members, Tebogo, was killed in a car accident. Before taking a pause in 2009, Mafikizolo proceeded to release songs like Kwela and an album called Six Mabone, The Best.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 2013, they returned to music with the release of Reunited, which included the smash single Khona with Uhuru. As a result of the album, they were nominated for and won 12 SAMAs in one night. To commemorate their 20 years in the music industry, their new album, 20, was released in 2017. The hit song Love Portion was included on the album.

The group has received the SA Music Award for Group or Duo of the Year three times. After releasing two albums, Inguquko (Change) and Lingcinga Zam, Nhlanhla has been recording and performing alone (My Thoughts).
