Photo Of Ramaphosa On a Wheelchair Left People With Questions, Here’s What Was Happening

There is a trending photo of Ramaphosa sitting on a wheelchair that is leaving many people with questions about what’s happening. Although Ramaphosa’s term in office will soon be coming to an end, he hasn’t stopped being everyone’s darling. Many people have criticized him and called him names, but he continues to fight for a better life for all. If there’s one thing that Ramaphosa promotes most, it’s inclusivity; he always makes sure that everyone is accommodated regardless of race, color, culture, abilities, or disability.

Speaking of disability, many disabled people have been complaining that they are not accommodated in so many things, most notably in public transportation. People who are disabled or use wheelchairs find it hard to access public transportation because there is not enough space for them, and it’s even harder to access public transportation using a wheelchair. With all that, Ramaphosa, together with Fikile Mbalula, the minister of transport, has heard the people’s cries.

They decided to use an adapted bus that accommodates people who are using wheelchairs without any difficulty. This bus has a ramp that allows a wheelchair to climb east, and it also has a wide space for a person using a wheelchair to pass without hardship. The bus was opened yesterday. When it was being lunched, Ramaphosa was given a wheelchair so that he could test and witness how comfortable it’s going to be for wheelchair users to access the bus. He was sitting on a wheelchair while someone pushed him as a test drive.

This is one of the best things that Ramaphosa and Mbalula have ever done. The bus does not only accommodate wheelchair users; it can also accommodate blind people because it has a voice notification system for everything that it does. For example, when the door closes, there is a voice that announces its location, and when it reaches a town or bus stop, it always announces where it is and that it’s about to stop. Many people were so impressed by such advancements. That’s the reason he was in a wheelchair; you can see by the way he’s putting his legs that he was even scared to fall.
