Congratulatory messages poured in for the newly appointed Deputy President, Paul Mashatile, and his wife Hlumile Mjongile after they got married this past weekend.

 

 

 

 

@Am_Blujay took to his Twitter account to instigate some drama. He shared pictures of the newly weds and left this caption on the tweet, “Let me get this straight Paul Mashatile’s wife died in July 2020 and his current wife’s husband Songezo Mjongile died in 3 months later …and 3 years later these two are already married. Maybe my morals are too much but in a world full of women why are you marrying a colleague and friend’s widow.”

A lot of people felt as though he was insinuating that the couple conspired to kill their spouses so that they could be together.

@Sgadi28 left this comment on the tweet, “Love is love. Somehow I think it also make sense for people who know each other & lost spouses in the same year to fall in love. Maybe talk to us and get something straight when you find evidence that they killed their spouses in order to fall in love with each other.”
