Limpopo artists Penny Penny and Mukosi Muimbi are at loggerheads and the fight is over Penny Penny’s new song, Hayi Kamina Hee.
Mukosi said Penny Penny invited her to his studio and asked that she add her voice to the new song.
“He then asked me to remake Makhadzi’s song, Milandu Bhe. I agreed because I was desperate for money. But after sometime I felt bad because Makhadzi is not just my colleague, but she’s my cousin,” Mukosi told Daily Sun.
She said Makhadzi and Penny Penny are no longer close. “Their fight is very bad. He wants to destroy Makhadzi’s music career. He even asked me to redo Makhadzi’s song, Milandu Bhe. I later realised that he was using me to fight his battles with Makhadzi,” she said.
Mukosi later took to Facebook where she accused Penny Penny of trying to steal Makhadzi’s song.
She wrote: “Sorry to my fans, the song will be released without my voice. The agreement papers were not delivered to me as promised. Another thing he wanted me to remake MILANDU BHE and I refused. Thank God I was not the one who called him, but he’s the one who called me.
“To fellow big artists, please stop using me as if I don’t have a career to push. If you want to do a song with me then create something new and do not remake somebody’s song. I didn’t want to say much about this but I can see that everyone is calling for collaboration. They want to use me to fight other artists.” Mukosi concludes.
