Gomora star Siphesihle Ndaba has won over Mzansi with her portrayal of the rough, female gangster Mazet but in real life the driven young actress plans to change the world for the better, drawing inspiration from her mom and her mentor, US media mogul Oprah Winfrey.

In an interview with TshisaLIVE, Siphesihle opened up about the person behind the character. Siphesihle said she learnt from two great women that she can be anything she wants to be.

“So many things inspire me, I don’t think there’s one thing that inspires me. Something that keeps me going is my mother and how much of a selfless leader she is and how much of a compassionate person she is. We didn’t have much growing up. A single mother raising three children and she worked a housekeeping job and obviously earned minimum wage.”Siphesihle explained that her mother did all she could to ensure that she didn’t feel like an outcast because they weren’t well off compared to other children. Despite the situation at home, Siphesihle’s mother ensured that they had all they needed to grow up into adults who knew they had infinite potential.

When she was in high school another woman would also change her life and that was US media mogul Oprah Winfrey, who through opening a school in SA had a huge affect on Siphesihle.“I am inspired by Oprah Winfrey a lot. She gave me the opportunity to attend her school and experience things and learn so much that I wouldn’t have had she not opened that school. I am so grateful for that and so my inspiration also comes from the idea that I want to create that world for somebody else. Somebody else took a chance on me and afforded me the opportunity to do great things and I want to do the same and be that person in somebody else’s life.

Media personality Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung is finally shooting his new television show. The “Living The Dream With Somizi” star recently announced that he will be launching two shows on YouTube, one of them being a cooking show. Although Somizi is still keeping things under wraps, on Sunday he revealed his first guests. Actress and TV host, Pearl Thusi and her bestie queen of the decks, DJ Zinhle.
However on Tuesday the star took to his Instagram page to spill the tea on “ industry friends” who refused to be part of his new show. In the video clip shared on his Instagram account, the flamboyant star is seen sitting in his car as he starts giving the masses important lessons about “self-entitlement.

He said: “I’m working on a show and a show needs guests, so I called my people, friends in the industry that I gel with, that I vibe with…friends that I feel that I’ve been there for you, you’ve been there for me at some point. He revealed that he invited some of his industry friends to be part of his show and some refused.“Some declined, without even an explanation… I found myself thinking ‘I have done this and that for you, you owe me this and that…’” he said. Then the “Idols SA” judge said he then had what Oprah refers to as an “Aha! moment”.

“I was like Somizi stop it, you’re being ridiculous no one owes me shit. This self-entitlement, self absorbency…should stop!”He continued: “Nobody owes anybody sh*t, you are on your own. If somebody decides to support you, big ups, if you decide to be there for somebody…don’t it because you expect them to return the favour.

According to Oabile, Cassper Nyovest is the most expensive hip-hop artist to hire, at R207k for a 30-minute performance. That is more than R50k more than his rival AKA quoted.In comparison, Nasty C, who is currently blowing up overseas with his new collab alongside T.I, quoted R100k for a performance.

Faith Nketsi may be gunning for stardom with her music career but her management claimed that she was not taking bookings for performances, only an appearance. Booking Kamo Mphela may cost R25k.According to Sowetan, Cassper claimed in 2015 to sometimes “clock” more than R2m “a night” with performances. I make too much money and I own businesses, I’m not just a rapper, I own my business and in my business I own myself.

“Then I’ve got my energy drink, I’ve got my clothing label and then I’ve got property. I’ve got artists, I do my own events which can clock about two million a night,” Cassper explained.

Today, (24, June 2020), marks the 5th birthday for one of DJ Black Coffee‘s youngest sons, Asante.

The renowned DJ took to his social media to pen a sweet birthday message to his little man, sharing a video of him when he was four-year-old.

His mom, Enhle Mbali also wished him a happy birthday, revealing that Asante had a very slim chance of making it. The Queen has been one huge thriller since Shaka made his return from the dead, however fans of the telenovela are beginning to have mixed feelings about his return since he’s being “overboard dramatic” and insisting on torturing some of their faves.Kagiso and Dingane, who were responsible for Shaka’s “death”, are now on the receiving end of Shaka’s anger and wrath.
